Start a New Alumni and Supporters Chapter      
Local FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter are tremendous resources for FFA chapters; providing resources, volunteers, financial support, and guidance on various items throughout the year. National FFA Alumni and Supporters state that alumni is for "former FFA members and interested adults are a natural, supportive resource for FFA advisors and their students. A National FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter helps to rally the local community around agricultural education and FFA activities".

Alumni and Supporters Chapter Requirements      
To begin the process of starting or reactivating a local FFA Alumni and Supporters chapter, please start by reading through the IN FFA Alumni and Supporters Info Packet. This describes many of the requirements for chartering a chapter.

All applications will be process through Tamara Ketchen with the Indiana State FFA Alumni and Supporters. If you need assistance while working through any of the required documents, please contact her.

The information packet outlines the basic requirements of starting an alumni and supporters chapter. Many of the required documents are also available in the documents section of this page.

Types of Membership      
Life Membership
$200 (+ any additional state fees)
Life membership is a one-time investment in the future of our organization. Your investment ensures that the FFA will be around for future generations of agriculturalists and to help provide leadership training opportunities to as many members as we possibly can so that they can exert an influence in their home and community. Life members receive a membership card, a membership certificate, a lifetime subscription to FFA New Horizons magazine, the ability to attend personal and professional development conferences and conventions, and additional member benefits.

Associate Membership
Free
Effective 2012/2013 membership year, the delegate body adopted Associate membership as a free five year membership provided annually to potential members that are graduating or have recently graduated from high school. Contact alumni@ffa.org for details.

Annual Fee
$100-National FFA and $50 Indiana FFA
The annual fee is designed to easily mobilize volunteers to support local agricultural education programs and their FFA chapters. Chapters can provide memberships, services and benefits to an unlimited number of volunteers/supporters for one fee while keeping the rest of their funds for local programs.

The annual fee covers a chapter’s ability to:
-Use the National FFA trademark emblems under the National FFA Trademark Policy.
-Use the National FFA 501c3 status (application required, not automatic).
-Use the National FFA membership management system.
-Provide individual members/volunteers with the National FFA Forever Blue Benefits program.
-Create a local chapter network within the Forever Blue Network to help network and engage alumni and supporters from around the world.
-Use National FFA marketing materials/educational training/member opportunities and events.
