General Rules:
- FFA Official Dress is required for this event.
- While official dress is required, proper safety apparel is allowed.
- The district decides how many entries per chapter in each division for the district-level event.
- Each district may advance 2 teams to the section level contest in both the regular and novice divisions. Only one entry in each division per chapter.
- Each section may advance 2 teams to the state contest in both the regular and novice divisions.
- All students must be active FFA members in good standing to compete. To be an active member in good standing, a student must:
- Be enrolled in at least one agricultural education course during the school year,
- Attend meetings, strive for degrees of membership, and participate in other organized activities of the chapter,
- Pay all current state and national dues, and display conducts consistent with the ideals and purposes of the National FFA Organization.
- Participants using personal electronic communication devices, during the event are subject to disqualification.
Eligibility:
Grade Levels: 7th-12th grade can participate in the Chapter Meeting (Senior Division)
Grade Levels: 5th-9th grade can participate in the Chapter Meeting (Novice Division)
Participants in the Novice Chapter Meeting LDE cannot be on the senior chapter meeting team at the same time as participating in the novice contest.
The chapter that has won first place in the state contest, shall be eligible to participate in the event the year immediately following the winning of first place, provided the team is composed of members who did not compete in the national event.
